Players heading to the WSOP Circuit Brazil 2018 later this year will get to play in an event of this most prestigious poker brand, now in one of the most iconic destinations in the world – Rio de Janeiro

The beautiful and vibrant city was chosen to host the world cup of poker between 25th September and 2nd October, where players from Brazil and around the world can compete in a setting as unique and diverse as the tournament series they’re playing in.

"We always strive to bring to the Brazilian public a sensation that comes as close as possible to the WSOP Las Vegas, which this year goes to its 49th edition, which takes place at the Rio Resort, Rio de Janeiro's theme park. Again the WSOP Circuit Brazil has made its mark in the history of national poker," said André Feldman, Director of the WSOP Brazil.

The Main Event is confirmed as a R$4,000 buy-in, carrying a huge R$4,000,000 guarantee. The exact schedule and what is sure to be an impressive side event offering will be announced in the coming weeks.

partypoker Pro, João Simão is pleased: “I’m very excited to play WSOP-C Rio. partypoker is doing great all around the world and it’s no different here. They are letting us play a live event at Rio, and even more incredible, at the most prestigious place, Copacabana Palace. I know it will be a great experience for the players, and even better than that there will be many chances to qualify on partypoker. See you guys at the tables!”

The venue welcoming players will be the luxurious Copacabana Palace Hotel, which is found on Avenida Atlântica in front of the world-famous Copacabana beach, close to the commercial center and the Ipanema and Leblon districts. The glamourous setting is the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere – at the poker table and away from it.

"Exciting news – deal me in!” said Mike Sexton, partypoker Chairman. “The WSOP Circuit Brazil 2018 is sponsored by partypoker, so of course we’re giving players the chance to samba their way to Rio for an incredible vacation and poker experience… just go to partypoker to see how to win packages to Rio. See you at the Copa – Copacabana!"
