Brazil’s Vitor Pzivielevshi (pictured above) finished Day 1A of the Latin American Poker Championship as chip leader with a 1,150,000 stack. The first day of action registered 256 entries with some notables as partypoker Sponsored Pro Richard Dubini, Laura Cintra, partypoker Ambassador Luiza Simao and Emmanuel Lopez among them.
Gonzalo Gottlieb (980,000), Brian Kaufman (631,000), Alejandro Lococo (535,000), Andres Read (352,000) and Fidalmo Ferraro (250,000) also made it through the first flight. Marcelo Filartiga, Horacio Chaves, Estefano Han and Franco Spitale couldn’t advance but will have three more opportunities to do so this week.
Today players will have the chance to advance with two more flights and a mega satellite. Day 1C will kick-off at noon while Day 1D will start at 17:00 hours. Day 2 of the LAPC Main Event will take place this Friday with the remaining players looking for a place on Day 3 of this magnificent event.
Main Event of the Latin American Poker Championship continues with Day 1C and Day 1D
The Main Event of the Latin American Poker Championship continues this Thursday at beautiful Enjoy Punta del Este with two more flights. Starting at noon, Day 1C of the Main Event will be the penultimate opportunity to advance while Day 1D, starting at 5pm will be the last.
Players will also have the chance to win their seat into the Main Event for just a fraction of the buy-in thanks to the mega satellite that will run at 3.30pm local time. The surviving players will return this Friday, the very same day that the $2,200 High Roller and $220 Finale start.
