The prestigious World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) will be returning to Canada on the 23rd August to the 3rd September. The Playground Poker Club in Montreal will host a CAD$2M GTD Main Event, and we’ve got news of an epic promotion to bring you.

We’ll just come right out and say it. There’s going to be a CAD$50,000 Last Longer for the WSOP-C Playground Main Event. Yes, you heard that right, a fifty thousand dollar Last Longer! All you need to do to get involved is be one of the first 250 players to buy in to the CAD$1,100 ($829.22 USD) Main Event using your PP LIVE Dollars, and you’ll be automatically registered in the exclusive promotion. Just in case you don’t know how a last longer works, the last player standing in the tournament out of the 250 will win an extra CAD$50,000 on top of their tournament winnings. It’s as simple as that!

So, not only will the winner have had a deep run in a fantastic event, they’ll also pick up an extra CAD$50,000 in addition to whatever they cash for – all just because they used their PP LIVE Dollars to buy in! So far, only four people have bought in using PP LIVE Dollars, so there are still 246 spaces in the Last Longer up for grabs! If you’re planning on playing WSOP-C Playground, it really is a no-brainer to buy-in using PP LIVE Dollars. What are you waiting for?!

In case you haven’t heard about them before, PP LIVE Dollars are a flexible, player-friendly currency that can be won in satellites on partypoker, and used by players to pay for event buy-ins, travel, hotels and even visas. Players now have two years to use their PP LIVE Dollars, and those that do will automatically be entered into a $1M Leaderboard which runs throughout the 2018-19 poker season. At the end of the season, the $1M will be divided up between the top 100 players. There are currently $700,000 in guarantees in PP LIVE Dollars satellites to be won every single week on partypoker, and that number is only increasing.

The main ones to remember are that if you're on the first 250 to buy-in in full to the Main Event using your PP LIVE Dollars, you will be entered into the last longer. During the tournament, you will be given full anonymity but can share your involvement if you wish. Tournament staff will keep you updated on how many players are remaining in the last longer, but won’t mention what table or seat they are at to keep things fair for everyone.

The jewel in the crown of WSOP-C Playground will be the CAD$2M GTD Main Event, but that’s not the only huge tournament taking place. There will be no less than six sizzling side events, including the CAD$1M GTD Colossus, which players will be able to buy-in to for just CAD$330. Also included in the schedule is a CAD$5,300 Super High Roller, a CAD$2,200 High Roller, and a CAD$550 buy-in PLO event. In total, there will be a stunning CAD$4M in guarantees up for grabs across the festival, plus, of course, a number of prestigious WSOP-C rings.

Kristen Bicknell, Team partypoker Pro and Canadian poker superstar, is excited about the prospect of the WSOP-C Playground, saying: “I am genuinely so thrilled to see the WSOP come to Canada and to Playground Poker! It is really amazing to see the Canadian poker community thrive and I'm so happy to be a part of it!"

All the fantastic poker action will be taking place at the iconic Playground Poker Club in Montreal, which was established in 2010 and is recognized by poker players all over North America as Canada's Premier Poker Destination. Playground has established itself as a poker club built for players, by players and is committed to operating a fun and safe gaming environment for players of all abilities and bankrolls.

Phil Sabbah, CMO at Playground Poker Club, said: “Playground’s players – and poker players across Canada – have always expressed a great love for the WSOP, and bringing these two iconic brands together is a sure-fire win for all. The World Series of Poker has earned its unique position in the poker world, and we’re thrilled to be working with them on what is certain to be a poker series for the ages.”
