What’s that coming over the hill? It’s the Monster Series! The third edition of the popular low and mid stakes tournament series will feature a whopping $2.1M in guarantees, and comes roaring back on the 29th July, running for eight days until the 6th August.

With an incredible total of 171 tournaments in 57 distinct events across three buy-in levels, the third Monster Series is set to be bigger and better than ever.

The buy-in levels will be low, mid, and high stakes, with buy-ins ranging from $33 to $1.50, meaning everyone will be able to enjoy playing the tournaments whatever the size of their bankroll.

Monster Series are always perfect for recreational and low to mid-stakes players, who love feeling the thrill of competing in big tournament series without having to break the bank.

The second edition of Monster Series, held back in April and May, was a huge success, featuring 123 barn-storming tournaments over eight glorious days of online poker, which saw over $2.9M in prize money won.

The Monster Series schedule looks fantastic, with a huge range of 6-Max, Progressive Knockout, 6-Max Pot Limit Omaha, PLO8, Deepstack, 6-Max PKO and normal Texas Hold’em tournaments planned. The daily schedule has been cleverly organised so that tournaments don’t last all night, and you can play with the speed of levels that suit you the most.

For example, the first tournaments each day start at 14:00, and will have the longest levels, with a ‘Grind’ clock in place for those who want as much poker as possible for their buck. At 16:00, a ‘Slow’ clock will be used, with normal-length levels for the tournaments getting under way at 18:00 and 19:30.

For Monster Series events that kick off at 20:00 each evening, a fast clock will be used, with the 22:00 tournaments utilizing a ‘Turbo’ clock with quicker levels. Finally, for those who love playing a bit of high-octane late-night poker, the tournaments starting at midnight will all have Hyper Turbo clocks being used.

The undoubted crown jewel in the Monster Series schedule is the Championship Event, which will be a $33 buy-in tournament that starts at 18:00 on Sunday 5th August. Featuring a massive $200,000 guarantee, it’s definitely one not to be missed. The Mid and Low events at the same time will have buy-ins of $11 and $3.30, and feature guarantees of $30,000 and $10,000 respectively.

Another highlight of the schedule will be the three distinct Ladies events. They will get under way at 18:30 on Saturday 4th August, and boast $7,000 in total guarantees.

Team partypoker’s Natalia Breviglieri said: “It’s extra exciting that this new Monster Series features Ladies Events – these tournaments are a chance for women to compete against each other directly and I know there will be a great atmosphere.”

Breviglieri always looks forward to the Monster Series, and said before the last edition: “I’m so looking forward to the upcoming Monster Series. I love these tournaments and really enjoyed competing in them last October.

“The popularity of that first Series shows that, like me, there are a lot of players who like playing at this level and the new series has tournaments with even lower buy-ins. I think that’s great; it means more players will get a chance to join in.”

In the second Monster Series back in April and May, there were $2.7M in guarantees, and with a grand total of $2,914,129 awarded to players across the 123 events, the series was a huge success.

Everyone who plays in the next Monster Series will be looking to emulate Diogo37, who took home the biggest prize in Monster Series history by winning the Monster #38-High $300K GTD Championship Event for an incredible $45,375, not a bad return on his $33 investment.

Monster Series always provide excellent value for players, with numerous tournaments in the April and May edition having to add money to the prize pool to match the guarantee. While that’s far from the ideal situation for partypoker, they’re always happy to provide their loyal player base with extra value.

One thing is for certain: If you would like to play in a major tournament series, where the buy-ins are affordable and the prizes astronomical; where there is always incredible added value to be sniffed out; then you need to play in the Monster Series.

The 29th July to the 6th August. Mark it in your diary, folks. The Monster Series is ready to roar again.
