Team partypoker’s Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov went agonisingly close to winning a second Powerfest title on Monday night, finishing third in Event 28-H: $200K Gtd PKO NLH for $12,500. The Team partypoker Pro is having a phenomenal Powerfest, as he won Sunday’s Event 24-H: $150K Gtd NLH for $57,820, as well as getting to another final table earlier in the series. The $2,100 buy-in event attracted 100 runners, exactly matching the guarantee. Filatov picked up nine bounties in the progressive knockout format event, earning a further $7,468 on top of his prize for third.

rdcrsnn was the eventual champion, picking up $24,500 for the victory and $33,625 for his eight knockouts. Experienced online tournament pro PhileasFogg was second for $17,500, also just missing out on a second Powerfest VII title, though only got $1,250 in addition for his two knockouts. josef_shvejk was the bounty king, busting 10 players from the event.

High Stakes Heavyweights

Elsewhere in Monday’s high stakes tournaments, KingJamesMVP was crowned victorious in Event 29-H: $50K Gtd 6-Max Turbo PLO. A buy-in of $1,050 saw a guarantee-smashing 90 entrants take to the virtual felt to battle it out in the Pot Limit Omaha High format. KingJamesMPV collected $28,152 for the victory, with SimaTing and Zod_ rounding out the podium.

BadGirl1927 outlasted 49 other players in the $530 buy-in Event 27-H: $25K Gtd FLH, winning herself a tidy $8,750. The guarantee was matched, with seven players securing cashes in the Fixed Limit Hold’Em event. KONY2012 was the player beaten heads-up, earning themselves $5,875 and moving to 15th on the overall Powerfest High Leaderboard, a place ahead of Filatov, and currently good for $900.

Medium Stakes Action

A total of 763 entrants put up the $215 required for a seat in Event 28-M: $150K Gtd PKO NLH. The champion was V_Eliminator who earnt $13,619 for the victory plus a further $10,806 for 14 knockouts. Team partypoker’s Filatov and Natalia Breviglieri both finished in the money, but were unable to reach the final table. The top three included orginALUS in second for $9,690 and HollowellDhar in third for $6,508.

The $109 buy-in Event 29-M: $25K Gtd 6-Max Turbo PLO was won by sluuvtanuuv, who collected $7,347 for the victory in the 322-player field event. P0L4R1C3 and Tornado52111 rounded out the podium, picking up $4,910 and $3,542 respectively.

In Event 27-M: $10K Gtd FLH, KissTheSky flew past the rest of the field to earn $2,299. The $10,000 guarantee was missed as 154 entries ponied up the $55 buy-in, producing a nice little overlay for the field. AFCA1971 finished second for $1,650.

The Big-Field Micros

Three more low-stakes tournaments were played on Monday. The biggest field of the day came in the $22 buy-in Event 28-L: $25K Gtd PKO NLH, with ghepihaze finishing on top of 2,368 entries to win $3,885, a Powerfest title, plus an additional $2,791 for their 17 knockouts. Rounding out the podium were dbadge and Jen0rek, who earned $2,746 and $1,768 respectively, plus $159 and $600 in bounties. Despite eliminating 20 players, virusek77 was unable to make the final table, finishing 14th for $144, though they did pick up $306 in bounties.

Event 29-L: $10K Gtd 6-Max Turbo PLO was won by Galicia_4 after a three-way deal was made with mariano1966 and ocwiejka. The champion picked up $1,374 for victory, with second and third sewing up $1,287 and $1,188. A total of 930 entrants paid the $11 buy-in.
