Team partypoker’s Joao Simao and Kristen Bicknell were among the players that advanced through to Day 3 of the partypoker LIVE Latin American Poker Championships Main Event.
Brazilian superstar Simao finished the day with 3,110,000 in chips, with Bicknell bringing through 2,705,000.
A total of 72 players came through a tough day of action in the $1,000,000 guaranteed LAPC Main Event, which is being held at the Enjoy Punta del Este Resort and Casino on the beautiful south coast of Uruguay.
The chipleader at the end of Day 2 was Francisco Garcia, with the Uruguayan bagging up 7,750,000 chips, over 2,000,0000 more than Dante Fernandes who finished the day in second.
Team partypoker Online’s Renato Nomura was also able to progress through to Saturday’s Day 3, with the Brazilian bagging up 1,650,000.
Other notables bringing through a stack are Rodrigo Mac-Lean (1,340,000), Diego Aro (1,140,000), Bruno Kawauti (1,070,000), and Dayane Kotoviezy (2,025,000).
Players will return on Saturday at noon for the penultimate day of the tournament, with blinds starting at 20,000/40,000 with a button ante of 40,000. The average stack is 1,579,167.
Two exciting side events are set to continue on Saturday, with Day 1B of the High Roller and Day 1C of the $200,000 guaranteed Finale getting under way at 12:00, and Day 1D of the Finale kicking off at 17:00.
