The partypoker Powerfest VII series came to an end this weekend, after shelling out over $15,000,000 in guarantees, over 147 events in all stakes and formats. From micro stakes hold-em to Omaha high-rollers, this year’s series had it all, and we’ve been following the action from the start.

Rounding off the action with more four-figure buy-ins and not one, but two $1,000,000 guaranteed events on Sunday, you guys had it all to play for and we’ve been watching.

Saturday’s Events – Low

First things first, let’s take a look at the micro stakes events from Saturday, where we saw pocket change turned into big money scores!

The $11 Event 42-L: $20,000 6-Max Turbo PKO, despite being a mouthful to say, was an opportunity to take down some bounties and a healthy $1,349 payday. It was “guiomoraes” who duly obliged, beating 2074 entrants and more importantly second placed “machore888” to the top prize, and another near $1,000 worth of bounties.

Next up we had the $5.50 Event 43-L: $10,000 Turbo, where you could turn a modest $5.50 investment into $3,069. After only five hours of work, “FranzJosef88” took it down after beating “KoziFans” heads-up.

Creeping up to $22 in the Event 44-L: $25,000 6-Max Turbo. A total of 1,365 players got in on the action, but it was “mully9944” who would take the top spot and a $4,095 payday. They beat “playingw1thf1re” in a heads-up battle, leaving $2,911 in second-placed money behind.

Saturday’s Events – Medium

Upping the stakes a little now, with the $55 Event 43-M: $25,000 Turbo. This one saw 338 entrants in total, with partypoker pro Natalia “N4talB” Breviglieri bagging some more cash, taking $258 in 30th place. The payouts hit four figures on the final table, as “duendeverdeee” scored $1,391 for finishing 7th. As always though, the big money is at the top of the leaderboard and “Getuponmylevel” was giving his best shot at making it there. He was pipped at the post by the aptly named “Nemesis_25” though, who took the lion share of the spoils for $7,751.

Next, onto the $109 Event 42-M: $50,000 6-Max PKO Turbo, where “do or die” scooped a $5,334 first place finish, in addition to $4,088 worth of bounties! He beat “RagVoen” to the top spot, who took $3,848 for second and another $1,119 for his knock-outs.

Rounding off the medium buy-in events for the day, was the $215 Event 44-M: $50,000 6-Max Turbo. Yet another cash for “PhileasFogg” to add to his prolific series performance, as he won $14,080 by beating the 352-runner field, and “stealthstack01” heads-up.

Saturday’s Events – High

Rather unsurprisingly, that just leaves us with the high buy-in events, of which there were three. Moving up to the $530 buy-in, the Event 43-H Turbo offered a $75,000 guarantee with $29,837 going to the winner. Team partypoker pro Roberto Romanello coasted into the money, where the “WelshWizard” notched up $3,255 in winnings for a 9th placed finish. At the top of the pile though, was “clicker_” who took the top prize, with “Lucky_Chicken” scoring $20,072 in second. Another cash for “HellmuthTheGr8” whose 7th placed finish was worth $4,611.

In the $1,050 Event 42-H: $100,000 6-Max Turbo PKO, team partypoker pro Patrick Leonard booked a spot on the final table and took a 6th place finish, for $2,188 and $3,437 in bounties. The five figure payouts were fought out between “Silvester18.” and “GreenNaugahyde”, with the former coming out victorious to the tune of $16,109 and a whopping $15,000 in bounties! Hard for “GreenNaugahyde” to grumble at $10,042 for second place, especially when he took $2,500 in bounties himself.

And finally, onto the big bucks $2,100 buy-in event, the Event 44-H: $100,000 6-Max saw yet more deep runs from “HellmuthTheGr8” and “PhileasFogg”, who took $6,120 and $4,945 for 6th and 8th placed finishes respectively. We couldn’t find an outright winner though, so “daskalos20” and “chadi6969” chopped up $77,000 in the way of $42,643 and $35,000. And that was that for Saturday!

Sunday’s Events – Ladies

As is the custom, we shall start with the three ladies events of the weekend first. The $2.20 Event 47-L: $5,000 saw “forza_oscura” land a $911.50 score, beating “SquatClean” in second for $649.

The $22 Event 47-M: $10,000 saw “Lillchagu” take gold, as she beat “Eaturcake” heads-up for $1,990, with the second-place finisher taking $1,440.

Rounding off the trio, was the $215 Event 47-H: $20,000 which saw team partypoker pro “daykotoviezy” soar to victory and a $5,096 payday. She beat “Tajtisrajt87” heads-up, who won $3,640 with our other partypoker pro “WildHungarian” taking $520 in 11th.

Sunday’s Events – Low

Onto the final low events of the festival, the $11 Event 45-L: $50,000 accumulated almost 5,000 entries, and “Sscorpi0” snapped up the top prize of $7,650 after a gruelling 14-hour grind! He beat “AWi10” heads-up who took $5,340 in second place.

The $11 Event 49-L: $25,000 Turbo saw “SinConexion” outlast 2449 entrants to win the $4,100 first place money, after beating “waltimgv89” heads-up leaving $2,900 in second place.

In the $22 Event 48-L: $100,000 Main Event, “ozzie1983” turned $22 into $21,856 after another epic 14-hour slog! No deals to be made for the top dollar, and “Kashmir_uzi” had to settle for $15,306 for his second-placed finish.

That leaves us with the final low event, the $55 Event 46-L: $100,000 which absolutely smashed the guarantee out the park with a massive 3118 entrants! That set the top prize at $24,464 and “TaLiSkEr66” ran out as champion, after beating “iamrebuhlegov” heads-up leaving $17,226 behind for him in second. The final five figure score of the tournament stopped with “VSmile” in third place.

Sunday’s Events – Medium

The $109 Event 45-M: $200,000 kicked things off for the medium events on Sunday and saw 2344 entrants, yet again beating the guarantee. The event paid out to 312 places, but it was “I am bored.” who lasted the longest and was surely entertained to the tune of a $38,447 payday. If not, there’s just no helping them! A $27,190 payout went the way of “redcorvette73” in second, with $17,509 going to “UncleSick1955” in third.

Up next is the $530 Event 46-M: $500,000 which saw “JHelppi” take his place on the throne, securing an $86,000 score. The Finnish professional saw off a field of 979 entrants, beating “flowerboy911” heads-up, who himself won $61,600.

Onto the $215 Event 48-M: $1,000,000 Main Event, and an exciting evening for partypoker ambassador Carl Froch, who ran deep into the money, cashing for $5,560 in 13th place! At the top end of the table, after 15 hours, “agrocomedio” scored an eye-watering $153,350 after beating “Sentapled99” heads-up, whose efforts were worth $107,050!

Finally, the last medium event of the entire festival was the $109 Event 49-M: $100,000. The tournament amassed a total of 1318 entrants, with $22,366 up for grabs at the top. The spoils were claimed by “YZD2pl06llXB”, whom we can only assume punched a keyboard to create that name, good job he can now buy a new one with his $22,366 winnings!

Sunday’s Events – High

Last but certainly not least, we had a quadruple bill of high stakes events to round off the day. Firstly, the $1,050 Event 45-H: $500,000 saw a deep run from partypoker pro Patrick Leonard, as he took a 9th placed finish to add another $7,246 to his series total. Another high-flying finish for “JHelppi” and “SanityWaterline” as they took $49,574 and $34,312 respectively, but it was “MentulaMagna” who was crowned champion and the recipient of $102,333. He beat “jgjg3000” heads-up, leaving $72,742 behind for his opponent’s efforts.

Next on to the $5,200 Event 46-H: $1,000,000 Main Event and Patrick Leonard was at it again! This time he went all the way to a massive $207,978 score after beating “SchelampigaUhu” heads-up to the top spot. A second-placed finish sent $150,960 his way, with “blakjak19” taking $107,610 in third. Further cashes for “JHelppi” and “I am bored” came further down the field.

Another Main Event on the way in the shape of the $2,100 Event 48-H: $1,000,000, this time partypoker pro “joaosimaobh” flew the flag for team partypoker as he took 10th for $13,860. It was “letsgodancing” who ran out victor though, winning $195,720 in first place, followed by “a.urli” and his $139,125 payout in second place.

That just leaves us with the $1,050 49-H: $100,000 Turbo, which “JgsNV” took down for a healthy $42,819 score. Second place went to “lomachenko88” who won $31,080 while “DECOR0X” completed the podium in third for $22,155.

And there you have it! That wraps up a fantastic Powerfest festival from partypoker which had something for everyone. We’ll be back to follow it all again next time Powerfest returns!
