It seems like only yesterday that we saw Sam Greenwood (above) collect his winner’s trophy and a cool $1,000,000 at the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party back in November 2017 in the Dominican Republic. The event was a huge success for all involved and thoroughly enjoyed by the players and all of us at partypokerLIVE. There was a plethora of tournaments to get involved in, monstrous prizepools and exciting Off-the-Felt activities.

Well, 2018 is going to be even bigger and even better. This year, partypoker has taken on the gargantuan task of topping last year’s festival, and to kick things off, the $5,300 buy-in MILLIONS Main Event guarantee has been set at an eye-watering $10,000,000! With satellites online at partypoker from just $0.50, players of all levels can shoot for the Caribbean.

The all-important dates for your diary will surely set you racing to the beachwear department at your favourite fashion outlet. Between Friday 9th and Sunday 18th November, players will gather for sun, sea, sand and seriously great poker at the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas! From the riches on offer in the Main Event through some truly superb Side Event prize-pools to the epic fun of every partypoker night out, the atmosphere at the Caribbean Poker Party, now into its third visit, simply cannot be beaten.

The Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas is brand new for the Caribbean Poker Party 2018 and can be found on New Providence Island. A fully integrated resort destination and casino, it's a poker paradise for partypoker players. With over 2,000 players expected to attend the festival, there are a massive set of side events alongside the flagship $10m guaranteed Main Event. From the $1,000+100 entry MILLIONS Open to kick off, through bigger buy-in tournaments such as the $10k High Roller and $25k Super High Roller and closing with the $5,300 MILLIONS Finale, there is something for everyone.

Baha Mar itself is an incredible place to stay for any guest. Costing $4.2billion, the 1,000-acre resort has over 2,300 rooms and suites and sits on the edge of the ocean, with the Baha Mar Casino itself the largest in the Caribbean. With the stunning ocean views, dozens of restaurants and a whole host of shops to browse between tournaments, poker players might do well to resist spending their winnings in the resort! Golf lovers will be in hogs heaven at the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, but for those who want to ease tensions when away from the felt, there are a number of treatments available at the ESPA spa.

"We are thrilled to welcome partypoker's 2018 Caribbean Poker Party and players to Baha Mar," Alex Pariente, Executive Vice President of Casino Operations & Marketing for Baha Mar told partypoker. "Baha Mar Casino is a one-of-a-kind destination, and we look forward to bringing the preeminent poker event in the Caribbean to the Bahamas and celebrating this year's million-dollar winners at Baha Mar.

If you're looking to qualify for the 2018 Caribbean Poker Party, then you can start your journey from just $0.50! The final package is worth $12,000 and includes a Main Event entry worth $5,300, nine nights bed and breakfast for two at Baha Mar, room credit of $1,000 and $2,000 cash towards expenses. As if that wasn't enough, you can get involved in the satellites at a number of stages. From 50 cents up to the $1,050 final qualifier, there are a range of entry stages to suit any player's bankroll.

partypoker LIVE president John Duthie can't wait to get back into his beach shorts and soak up the sun. Duthie said: "The Bahamas is one of the most amazing poker destinations in the world and being at Baha Mar is going to make this year's Caribbean Poker Party even more special. It's an incredible resort and I think players are going to be blown away by it. Plus there's the poker of course; we have now doubled last year's prize pool guarantees so there's an awful lot of money to be won. This year's Caribbean Poker Party really is a must-play event for everyone."

One player who loves the sunshine is partypoker President Mike Sexton, who added: "With satellites starting at just 50 cents on partypoker.com – and with well over six months of qualification opportunities ahead of us – we are certainly going to have more players in the Bahamas than ever before. It's going to be a hugely exciting event. The Baha Mar property is incredible, truly one of the most luxurious locations in the world!"

With multiple Day 1s available for the Caribbean Poker Party as before, players can choose any Day 1 they qualify for, including online. Every player can have a single re-entry on Day 1 and are free to enter multiple Day 1s, taking through their biggest stack to Day 2. Day 1 flights can, of course, be bought into directly for the $5,300 Main Event entry. That'll equate to a million chips...hey, we couldn't help but reference our  MILLIONS partypoker LIVE tour events!

While players will start the Main Event with a million chips, many tournaments would see only one player bank a real-life seven-figure sum. Not the 2018 Caribbean Poker Party! No less than three millionaires will be made at Baha Mar, with the eventual winner of the Main Event banking a massive $1.4 million minimum prize. The runner-up will bank $1.2 million, while the player missing out on heads-up play by one place will bank a cool million dollars. At least 250 players will be paid across the Main Event, with a minimum payout of $10,000. We like to double that buy-in for the cream of the crop.

How do you make a pool party in the Caribbean’s scorching sun better? You add foam, of course!

What an opportunity! You can turn $0.50 into not only the biggest partypoker event of the year and a chance to scoop a life-changing sum of money, but also the holiday of a lifetime! Chances like this don’t come around all too often, so get yourself into the Caribbean Poker Party satellites when they arrive and book your seat at one of the outstanding poker festivals of 2018.

There will also be plenty of promotions in the coming months, with online leaderboards to increase your chances of landing one of the packages.

We hope to see you there!
