The great partypoker Powerfest poker festival continued last weekend, with a host of 6-max, 8-max, and bounty events. Almost $3,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools saw tens of thousands of players across the globe compete for the huge scores on offer.

Saturday

Saturday's schedule kicked-off at 17:00, with three 8-max tournaments. The $2,100 buy-in Event20-H: $200,000 event had 105 players enter, of which 16 would make the money. It was "rdcrsnn" however, that scooped the top prize for a whopping $46,089 pay day, after an ICM deal gave him a little more than his opponent "SanityWaterline" who took $42,110 to the bank. "ABOUDIABY2" took a break from professional football to take third place for $26,250, well, either that or he has a very dedicated fan in the poker world!

In the $215 buy-in Event20-M: $150,000 event, "foxmulder92" bested a field of 661 entrants to win $27,345, beating "grwgrw" heads-up leaving him with a cool $19,470. Team partypoker's "Patrick_Leonard" finished fourth and secured himself $8,985.
On to the first lower stakes tournament of the day, the $22 buy-in Event20-L: $20,000 event saw its usual big field of almost 2,000 players compete. It was "RafaPimentaa" that finished top of the pile, with his $22 investment turning into $6,150 on the night, he beat "MarcoGambino" to claim top prize, leaving $4,360 for the runner-up.

Two hours into the first events of the night, and partypoker had three more huge guarantees waiting for players to sink their teeth into. The $1,050 buy-in Event21-H: $100,000 6-max PKO event had 123 entries, beating the guarantee and securing a prize boost for the players. Impressively, "rdcrsnn" added to his Event20-H win after beating "SLARVBOGMAJS" heads-up to score another $36,601!
There were two more 6-max turbo PKO events, all of which started at the same time. In the $109 Event21-M: $100,000 event, "Prince_Philip-it" took a total of $16,817, after winning top prize and claiming 13 bounties along the way! Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov fell just short of the final table, cashing for just under $2,000 on the night.

The other 6-max turbo PKO event was the $11 buy-in Event21-L: $10,000, "SteFik174" shared the spoils after a heads-up battle with "BetaloK52" ended in a deal. They won $1,233 and $1,197 respectively, plus the bounties they'd won.
That brought us to the final three events of the night, which were Ante-Up 8-max events. If you're unfamiliar with this style of tournament, basically, the blind levels are static throughout the tournament, and it's the size of the ante that increases.
It seemed that "Krilller" and "Happy2k18" knew how to adjust to the format, as they chopped the $530 buy-in Event22-H: $50,000 event both taking just over $10,000. Amongst the cashes again was "HellmuthTheGr8" who has been finding frequent success across this year's events. He finished 10th to add another $1,250 to his kitty.

Team partypoker pro Natalia "N4talB" Breviglieri (pictured above at the record-breaking 2017 Caribbean Poker Party) fought her way to a third-placed finish in the $55 buy-in Event22-M: $10,000 event. She was pipped to the post by "gibidon" and "BabySharkI4", who scored $2,895 and $2,095 for their efforts.
Rounding off the night, "hothot999" was too hot and too spicy (couldn't resist) for the final table he conquered. He beat "DonCorleOne25" heads-up to claim $1,243 in prize money, leaving the runner-up with a respectable $883 score.

Sunday

Sunday's line up saw nine 8-max events, and three 6-max events. In the $1,050 buy-in Event23-H: $100,000 event, "blakjak19" and "McDisiLDrOoN" sealed the top prizes after a heads-up deal secured them both a touch shy of $40,000. Team partypoker pro Patrick Leonard secure his second cash of the weekend, for $2,509.
It was "ARARAT800" in the $109 buy-in Event23-M: $100,000 event who finished best, winning outright for $22,332 in a heads-up battle against eventual second place finisher "Bard_Aces". His own $16,159 score provided adequate solace for his runner-up finish.
On to the third and final 6-max of the day; Event23-L: $20,000, "alltheway42" was en route for the victory but it seemed that "pablitoDONTCARE".. didn't care? The pair ended up making a deal, with "pablitoDONTCARE" taking $3,211 and "alltheway42" getting $2,993.

Powerfest Event24-H hosted the second $2,100 buy-in of the weekend, and the team partypoker lads didn't disappoint with Joao "joaosimaobh" Simao claiming fourth place for $20,650, and Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov getting the better of "SanityWaterline" to take the $57,820 to prize!
There was another deal made in the $215 buy-in Event24-M: $200,000 event, where "BeforeSunrise" took the most with $45,742 leaving behind $41,015 for "ebisumaru87".
No deals in the lower stakes $22 buy-in Event24-L: $25,000 event though, and "SKAMESdoCS" bested a huge field of 3140 runners to win $9,855! A second place finish for "KingSalvador" gave him $6,939 while third placed "KosmonautasT" secured $4,483. Massive scores for such small investments!

The biggest buy-in event of the series was the $5,200 buy-in Event26-H: $500,000 promising a huge return for the victor. Two more distinguished partypoker figures made the money, with "Simon_Trumper" and "lou045" taking $12,750 and $10,200. But the top two spaces were filled by "aLiNeNok1617" and "PhileasFogg", who after agreeing on a deal, scored huge cashes of $110,819 and $103,380 respectively.

In the two final 21:00 kick-offs of the night, "ACNB24" and "dlanger610" chopped the $530 Event26-M: $150,000, with "ACNB24" claiming the majority with $33,827, leaving "dlanger610" with a cool $31,280. The $55 Event26-L: $100,000 saw a deal as well, with "El_Chico99" and "DrovoseX" both taking $14,000, finally closing out the tournament after almost 12 hours of play!
That just leaves us with the Special Edition tournaments of the series, three tournaments that got underway at 19:00, and guaranteed a combined $800,000 in prize pools!

In the $2,100 Event25-H: $250,000 Super High Roller Special Edition, "Dork Pork" and "TorTor2012" made it to heads-up together, before agreeing on a deal. The ICM chop sent a massive $82,426 to "Dork Pork" and $72,409 to "TorTor2012".
The $215 Event25-M: $500,000 Title Fight Special Edition saw the biggest guarantee of the night, of which "probirs" prospered as he beat 2410 other players to the $82,010 top prize. Second place went to "DedoDeGorila" for $58,000 while "lipkinator" took $37,350 for third. The tournament lasted five minutes shy of 14 hours!

And lastly, but certainly not least, was the $22 Event25-L: $50,000 Title Fight Mini Special Edition, was captained by "juizlouco" who took the top prize of $12,459 in a field of 4049 entrants. Another marathon tournament that lasted over 12 hours! It was "Primao" who fell just short, yet still claimed $8,705 for coming second, which is hard to grumble at!
That rounds up all the action from the weekend, there's still plenty of chance to get involved in Powerfest before this Sunday's what are you waiting for?!
